WE ARE WHAT WE SEE

“We are what we see.” May this be interpreted as a surface level accusation or a lack of faith, the colors we wear, the expressions we show, and the aesthetics we find ourselves content in, make us who we are.

 

As you find yourself pondering deeper and deeper through complexities and dimensions...eventually there lies simplicity. Of course, personality aids in the understanding of a character, materialism should be devalued in society, and the soul should reign above all, but, in the natural variance and bias of the human race, we are bound to find the flaw of judgement. For some it may be a myopic perspective on the diversities of the world, and for others, it may be their inherent desire to conform. Regardless, the way people present themselves in the five second window of judgement, can be telling. Whether it be of the personal limitations, ignorance of the person making the judgement, or the appearance of the one being judged, this opinionated evaluation, is the most factual one that can be. Personality analysis is far too complex to ever reach any accurate conclusion within a matter of seconds. That is where truth is revealed the beauty of life--the beauty of the blissful ignorance and unpredictability.

 

The simplicity of examining what we see, is, in fact, the easiest way to classify a person. The simplest minds have mastered this ability, yet approach it the wrong way. The shallow aspects are most prevalent in the interpretation of the original quote. Rather than utilizing it as personal justification for judging others, it should be seen as a sign of encouragement for self expression. It is out of the hands of any individual to control the innate judgmental side-effects of being a human; therefore, embracing a visual representation of personality is the best revenge...
