7.5/10

The best part of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is its ability to create a compelling video game that just happens to have Legos involved with the gameplay. The chapters in which involve the simulation of the X-Wing, Millennium Falcon, and the Tie Fighter isn't just great gameplay for a Lego game but should be the outline for flight simulators games all around. Many parts of this game had jaw dropping experiences because it actually felt like you were given something different from the previous Lego games.

Now this game is good, but what holds it back from being great is its glitches. There are minor glitches and then there are the major ones that prevent you from actually moving on in the game. The character dialogue in the cinematics are directly from the original film, but some of the dialogue is so quiet that it does not match the characters facial expressions. Now when it comes to a game, I solely judge the game off its gameplay and a little bit off its cinematic elements, so this had only a little effect on the game. Furthermore, it felt like Chapter 7 with the Resistance was added just to extend the length of the gameplay, and this chapter did not feel necessary.

All this being said, I still had a fun time playing LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens and I would recommend spending full price on this product if you don't mind the bugs and glitches.
